#9: 2026 so far + an Indigo Elephant show you can all attend
Hello from Indigo Elephant!Welcome to the 9th issue of The Indigo Elephant Newsletter! I’m Julius, and I’m the drummer for the band, in addition to most of our social media! We started this newsletter because we wanted a space to go in-depth about the inner workings of the band and let y’all see behind the scenes of our growing project. | ![]() |
Hi everyone, I hope 2026 is treating you well!
For the first few months of the year, we’ve been really focusing on writing new songs for whatever our next project ends up being, along with doing more behind-the-scenes work to keep the band running smoothly. It’s been really exciting to be back in the songwriting headspace! We thought we might have a hard time writing anything after the rollout of The Art of Erosion, but luckily, we’ve been able to take that momentum and create some really interesting new ideas.
We’re going to keep those under wraps for now, but sleep well knowing that new music is in the works! Maybe I’ll even preview some of it here for newsletter subscribers only…
I also wanted to tell you all about a show you can attend, even if you don’t live near San Francisco!

credits to cliff for making the poster, as usual
Indigo Elephant will be playing a live set and doing an interview on KXSF 102.5FM this Sunday at 3 PM PST! We’ll have nine songs prepared for the hour, and our friend and fellow musician Mitch Rocket will be interspersing the show with good old journalism. If you want to hear what we sound like live, or are curious about things like how we all met or our biggest musical inspirations, be sure to tune in at kxsf.fm 🙂
The next blog post will be coming much sooner—Don’t Wanna See It just hit 100k streams on Spotify, and I want to talk about it! We couldn’t have made it this far without you.
Even more good news for the band came today, and I can’t wait to share it with you all! If you live in the Bay Area, keep the night of Friday, April 24th open (it feels so good to vaguepost).
idk why it says i only like 2 of my own bands songs
Until next time,

This isn’t our logo, but it’s our logo for now until we make one for real haha
